He is survived by: his father-in-law Dr. Ralph Kane; his friend Herb; his children, David Chapman (Denise) of Destin, FL, Dr. Ralph Chapman (Cathy) of Pinckneyville, IL, Dr. Nathan Chapman of Murphysboro, IL and Tirzah Renée Skaggs (Mike) of Tamaroa, IL; his grandchildren, Amber Phillips (Jesse), Dr. Emily Slechticky (Franklin Payne), Kristin Slechticky, Darren Chapman (Natalie), Kaylea Slechticky, Daryl Chapman (Chris Hoffman), Preston Chapman (Mallory), Ryan Chapman (Tory Looney), Olivia Chapman and Alex Chapman; his great grandchildren, Avery Phillips, Easton Phillips, Ellison Chapman, Violet Slechticky, Etta Slechticky and Astro Chapman; his sisters, Diane Pieske (Bob) of St. Louis, MO and Mary Kay Moe (Gil) of Palm Desert, CA; and his close friend Jennifer Kurwicki (Brian).
