He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hagene and Elizabeth Hagene (Eisenhauer); his brother Jimmy Hagene; and his brother-in-law George Przygoda. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Carson (Hammack); his children, Kevin Hagene (Cheryl) of Pinckneyville, Keith Hagene (Diane) of Pinckneyville, Mary Beth Chawan (Jay) of Brentwood, TN, Mindy Cheek (Dan) of Tamaroa, Tara Bird (Joe) of Pinckneyville, David Carson of Pinckneyville and Susan Morgan (Brad) of Pinckneyville; and his siblings, Charles Hagene (Carol) of Pinckneyville, John Hagene (Kathy) of Mulkeytown, Kenny Hagene (Sharon) of Pinckneyville, Eddie Hagene (Barbie) of Pinckneyville, Roger Hagene (Kathy) of Pinckneyville, Rosemary Novak (Kenny) of Ashley, Janet Porter (Roger) of Du Quoin and Judy Przygoda of Pinckneyville. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
