He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Carson and Mildred Carson (Hill); and his siblings, Dean Carson, Howard Carson, Harry Carson, John Carson, Lois Uhe and Phyllis Stegman.
He is survived by: his children, Tara Bird (Joe) of Pinckneyville, David Carson of Pinckneyville and Susan Morgan (Brad) of Pinckneyville; his wife Jennifer Blythe Crain; his stepdaughter Melissa Crain Kellerman (Barry) of Pinckneyville; his granddaughters, Jessica Bird Lukhaupt, Sarah Bird Stutes, Erica Morgan White and Kristin Loyd; and his great grandchildren, Alyssa Place, Kaylee Lukhaupt, Carter White, Alexis Bird, Ayden Stutes, Parker Loyd and Saylor Loyd.
Friends may make memorials to Perry County Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, local food pantries, or National Diabetes Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
