He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard "Dick" and Jessie Ilene Jones (Chapman); his parents-in-law, Frenche Shurtz and Wilma Shurtz; and his sisters, Sue Buschschulte and Darlene Schneider.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Kay Jones of Pinckneyville, IL; his stepsons, Tim McCauley of Pinckneyville, IL and Jeff McCauley of Dowell, IL; his sister Dixie Lueker (Pete) of Pinckneyville, IL; his grandchildren, Ian, Brody and Carley; his sister-in-law Pamela Wright of Louisiana; his pet Rusty; and also Nancy Eachues. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving companion.
