She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Kunkel and Anna Kunkel (Telkemeyer); and her husband Emory C. Schumaier. She is survived by: her children, Elaine Knop of Percy, Gary Schumaier of Pinckneyville, Jane Lynch (Orval) of Tamaroa and Donna Schumaier of DeSoto; her grandchildren, Ryan Schumaier (Tina Kelly) of Marion, Staci Schumaier (Matt Abney) of Marion and Kayla Lynch of Tamaroa; and her stepgrandchildren, Gail Knop of Steeleville, Cherie Barbre of Carmi, Leslie DuVall of Steeleville and David Knop of Steeleville. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may make memorials to the St. Paul's United Church of Christ or the Perry-Jackson Child Advocacy Center, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
