Alfred George Bathon Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred George Bathon (Pinckneyville, Illinois), who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Bathon and Lydia Bathon (Schmalreide); his siblings, Eutoala Heisner and Leonard Bathon; his former wife Ella Hoffmann of Bruno's Catholic Church; his children, Carl Bathon, Patricia Przygoda, Donald Bathon, Raymond Bathon and Marilyn Peradotta; his grandsons, Dustin Mathis and Nathan Bathon; and his great grandchild Hunter Marlow.

He is survived by: his wife Doris DiMartino; his children, William J. Bathon of Tamaroa, Mark Bathon (Karen) of Radom, Roger Bathon (Colleen) of New Braunfels, TX, Lillian Mathis of Pinckneyville and James Bathon (Cindy) of Carbondale; his children-in-law, Jim Przygoda (Patty), Julia Bathon (Raymond) and Mary Ann Bathon (Donald); and his brother Lawrence Bathon of Nashville. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his name to St. Mary Magdalen Church and will be accepted at the church.
