He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Wilson Sr. and Ada Wilson (Werts); his wife Joyce Davis; his brother Dale "Cy" Wilson; his parents-in-law, Roy and Bessie Davis; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Mae Davis, Vernon and Harold Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Wilson (Debbie Harvey) of Medora, Beth Chappell of Moweaqua, IL, Becki Wilson of Piasa and Brooke Brandon (Lewis) of Piasa; his grandchildren, Jennifer McMillin (Tim), Brandon Chappell (Kayla), Christopher Chappell (Melissa), Tyler Wilson, Raechel Brandon, Emma Brandon of Dale and Thang Hoang; his brother Charles Wilson (Mary Ann); his sister-in-law Kathleen Wilson; his daughter-in-law Lisa Blaes; and his close friend Stella Hughes. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mt Pleasant Methodist church for the building fund or Shipman Masonic Lodge #212.
