It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Thomas of Petersburg, Illinois, who passed away on May 27, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Crabtree and Mildred Crabtree; her husband Ernest "Ernie" Thomas; and her brother Allen Crabtree. She is survived by: her former husband Malcolm Alexander; her pets, Tuffy, Pussywillow and Tippy; her sister Wanda Johnson (Paul) of Farmington, Illinois; her daughters, Alleen Stephens (Bob) of South Bend, Kathy Alexander (Tom Lauritson) of Normal and Mary Corrigan; her grandchildren, Emily Stephens (Josh Oswold), Rick Stephens (Kim), Keith Stephens (Allie) and Patrick Corrigan (Bre Mapston); her stepgrandchildren, Jessica Embree (Nick), Jacque Johnson (Kurt), Chase Thomas, Shianne Thomas, Zoe Scheve, Tim Scheve and Max Scheve; and also Katherine Henebry. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great grand-children, great-nieces, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Federated Church of Peoria, Illinois to be used for children's ministries, and to Central Presbyterian Church, Petersburg, Illinois to be used for general programming.
