We are sad to announce that on March 14, 2023, at the age of 93, Thelma E. Blizek of Petersburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Juergens and Mary Juergens (Power); and her brothers, Fred of Petersburg, Perry of Petersburg and Dale Richard "Dick" of Petersburg.
She is survived by: her former husband Stuart L. Hofing; her children, Steve Hofing (Sherry) of Champaign, Sue Smith (Randy) of Pleasant Plains and Barbara Rogers (Larry) of Evansville, Indiana.; her husband James R. Blizek; and her stepchildren, Susan Lee Gronewald (Eugene) of Petersburg, Robert James Blizek (Susan) of Maryland and Marcia Ann Shields (Mike) of Dawson, IL. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Memorials can be made to the Menard County Cemetery Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
