We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2020, at the age of 87, Robert William Garvin (Petersburg, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Della Anna Marie Garvin (Filbright); his siblings, Caroline Sussarey, Laura Power, Bertha Bale, Thelma Eyman and Vernie Garvin; his nieces, Jennifer Belton and Gail Juhl; and his nephew Rodney Bale.

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Neumann; his stepdaughters, Susanne Davison of Taylorville, IL and Cheryl Yager (Dan) of Sweetwater, IL; and his sisters, Patty Garvin Belton Beechum of Metropolis, IL and Linda Sorensen of Ozark, MO.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Petersburg, IL.

You were a very nice and respectful man.the suff ering is over now .we have lost a good friend but heaven has gained an angel. Rest in peace. To the family and his wife shirley we are so sorry for your loss. Bob was a very good man.and he will be sadly missed by alot of people. I believe just about everyone here in petersburg knows bob.”
