He was predeceased by: his parents, William Montgomery and Ella Montgomery (Richards); his siblings, Paul, Margaret Howard (Bergen), David, MaryElla (Allen) and Kenneth; and his daughters, Catherine Montgomery Urish and Juliann Canady.
He is survived by: his wife Alia; his children, Paul Montgomery (Marilyn) of Petersburg, Nanette Bess of Pittsfield and William Sewell Montgomery; his grandchildren, Katie Heisner (Craig), Christopher Sean Urish (Leslie) of Lincoln, Adam Canady of Springfield, Cory Canady (Kate Blissett) of Riverton, Kristen Garrett (Brian) of Quincy, Alyssa Canady of Petersburg, Jamie Canady of Austin, TX, Brant Bess (Randi) of Boliver, MO, Catherine Ella Montgomery (Matt Price) of Petersburg and Grace Canady of Petersburg; his great grandchildren, Jillian, Theodore Heisner, Ayleigh Urish, Kayden Canady and Presley Canady; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Sewell King. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
