Opal M. VanPelt-Schmidt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal M. VanPelt-Schmidt of Petersburg, Illinois, born in Beardstown, Illinois, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andy Cowan and Aultie Cowan (Hardwick); her husband Dan VanPelt; her son-in-law Dave Lovell; and her granddaughter-in-law Jennifer VanPelt.
She is survived by: her close friend Jim Perbix; her children, Rosemarie Lovell (Rea) of Hollister, Missouri and Mike VanPelt of Litchfield; her grandson Tim VanPelt of Athens; and her great grandchild Kaylee VanPelt of Athens.
