We are sad to announce that on November 24, 2024, at the age of 86, Mary Lou Sherren of Petersburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Ames and Bertha Ames; her daughter Shannon Heidi (Cecil); and her husband Bill. She is survived by: her children, George William "Billy" Sherren Jr. (Vicky) and Teala Boyer (Mike); her grandchildren, Julie, Natchure, Mindy, Shelby, Marlaina, Ricky of Maimi, GW, Christopher, Michael and Olivia; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Skyler, Colten, Raygan, Emma, Blake, George, Jaden, Hinlee, Jayden, Logan, Kylee, Brooklyn, Jaxsen, Zaylin, Reese, Parker, Adalie, Leah, Tamzin, Raziel and Havanna. She is also survived by her family, friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM and at 2:00 PM. Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home - Petersburg (122 W Douglas St, Petersburg, IL 62675).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary's honor to St. Jude's or Shriner's Hospital for Children.
