He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Buck" Stewart and Helen Stewart (Duncheon); and his siblings, Arthur "Buddy" Stewart, John "Jack" Stewart, Catherine "Katie" Umphlett and Dorethea "Dottie" Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Victoria Blackburn (Robert), Greg Stewart (Kathy) and Kathy Moehlenpah (Andrew); his grandchildren, Matt Stewart (Megan Branagh), Katie Carpenter (Amanda Moehlenpah), Alexi Pierce (Daniel Moehlenpah) and Hannah Blackburn (Abby Blackburn); his great grandchildren, Caleb, Eli, Isaac, Lucy Stewart and Grayson Carpenter; his grandson Matthew Edward Stewart; his sisters, Rosemary Miller and Joyce; his sister-in-law Betty Stewart; and also Leo George Stewart. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (711 S 6th St, Petersburg, IL 62675). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
