He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Tibbs and Dorothy Tibbs (Hooper); his wife Deloris Padgett; his children, Kenneth Tibbs and Cindy Tibbs; and his siblings, Billie Tibbs, Jeannie Borah, Clidella Graves, Vandarell Tibbs, Laura Wynn, LouElla Clark and Hank Tibbs.

He is survived by: his son John Tibbs (Lora) of Petersburg, IL; his grandchildren, Kylea Tibbs-Hnizdo (Nathan), Kara Claussen (John), Ryan Edwards, Josh Edwards and Kelsey Tibbs; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Lucas, Samuel Hnizdo, Travis Phares, Ana Edwards, Andrew, Zakk Edwards, Owen Smith and Maren Somers; and his siblings, Ronald Tibbs, Walter Tibbs, Delbert Tibbs, Thomas Tibbs, Robert Tibbs and Rosie Dixon.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
