It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Lorene Nielsen-Schroeder of Peru, Illinois, born in Rutland, Illinois, who passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Baker and Ruth Baker (Arndt); her former spouse Runnard A. Nielsen; her husband Willard Schroeder; and her siblings, Calvin, Edwin, Delbert Jr., Melvin, Richard, Dale, Kenneth, Myna and Esther.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Soulsby (John) of Ottawa, Jim Nielsen (Terry) of Warren, Joyce Wright (Mark) of Georgetown and Jerry Nielsen (Jill) of Magnolia; her grandchildren, Joe Soulsby (Connie), Jack Soulsby (Stacey), Ruthanne Chapman (Todd Boe), Rosemary Walker (Phil), Cara Dobernecker (Craig), Todd Nielsen, Kristina Baumann (Andrew), Kevin Wright (Samantha), Katie Chiotti (Miles), Alan Nielsen (Emily), Rebecca Hanks (Kyle) and Kyle Wright; her great grandchildren, Jacey, Monica, Mitchell, Drew, Kelsey, Emily, Madilyn, Adelina, Aleia, Arabella, Elianna, Iner, Runnard, Engeline, Elsie, Charlotte and Otto; her great great grandchildren, Vincent, Vittoria and Denver; and her sister Hetta Grasser of Peru. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
