It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Gillett of Peru, Illinois, born in Spring Valley, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilario Rodriguez and Rosa Rodriguez (Barroso); her husband Dr. Everett Gillett; her siblings, Michael Rodriguez, Jessie Salcedo, Delfina and Lucy Rodriguez; her nephew Ruben Rodriguez; and her stepdaughter Susan Basalay.
She is survived by: her brother Larry Rodriguez (Carmen) of DePue; her sister-in-law Ann Rodriguez of DePue; her nieces and nephews, Larry Salcedo (Billie), Madge Libby (Terry), Teresa Sierra, Larry Rodriguez (Eva), Emma Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez (Rita), Brian Rodriguez and Carmela Rodriguez (Victor); her stepson-in-law Greg Basalay; and her stepgranddaughters, Heather Patterson (Rich) and Erica Roberts (Brad). She is also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews; numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
