He is survived by: his wife Joyce Milaicki of Valentine's Church; his son Ronald Karun Jr. (Rebecca) of East Lyme, CT; his grandchildren, John, Jeffrey, Joelle and James Karun; and his brothers, Richard Karun (Olivia) of LaSalle and Ludwig "Lou" Karun Jr. (Colleen) of Peru. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:50 AM at the St. Valentine's Church (1109 Pulaski St, Peru, IL 61354). A Mass was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Hyacinth's Cemetery N. 30th.
