It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert L. Volk of Peru, Illinois, born in La Salle, Illinois, who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Berent Volk and Josephine "Dodie" Volk (Bray); his wife Darlene Marie Ankiewicz of Joseph's Church; his brother James "Nick" Volk; and his brothers-in-law, Robert, Ronald Ankiewicz and Gary Fleming.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Volk of Peru, Andrea Means (John) of Peru, Tim Volk (Kathy) of Cleves, OH and Dianna Schroeder (Andy) of Freeport; his siblings, Don Volk (Sandy) of Anderson, IN, Joanne Fleming of Utica, Lois Bistolfo (Peter) of Plainfield, Tom Volk of Chicago and Ed Volk (Karen) of Salem, SC; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Volk of Washington, Mary Hiester (Larry) of Tonica, Kathy Ankiewicz of Peru and Bonnie Ankiewicz of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
