It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Mrella of Peru, Illinois, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Mrella and Theresa Mrella (O'Brien); his wife Betty Widman; his daughter Marian Beguin; his grandsons, Lucas Smith and Jacob John Shevokas; his siblings, John Mrella, Stanlin Mrella, Joseph Mrella, Frances Sorrentino, Marie Zaveski, Elaine Lesch, Evelyn Mrella and Theresa Engelhaupt (Everett); and his nephews, Buck Engelhaupt and Gerald Lesch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Alice Tostovarsnik (Richard) of La Salle, Janet Hoppenjan (Phill) of Freeport, Brenda Shevokas (Russell) of Granville and Missy Schlosser (Tim); his son-in-law David Beguin (Diane) of Rochelle; his grandchildren, Sara Harley (Chris), Jessica Yonto (Nick), Catie Blaszynski (Brian), Ashley Nesemeier (Drew), Zack Hoppenjan (Marisely Nieves), Amy Aho (Michael), Kyle Shevokas, Andrea Shevokas, Kye Schlosser (Dani) and Kenzie Schlosser; his great grandchildren, Elijah Harley, Brayden Harley, Max Harley, Claire Yonto, Andrew Yonto, Cole Yonto, James Nesemeier, Jace Nesemeier, Grayson Aho, Violet Aho and Hudson Aho; and his sister-in-law Kathy Lenkaitis (Gerald).
