It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jean Safranski of Peru, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 28, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Schmidt and Mary Schmidt (Phelan); her daughter Janice; and her sister Rosemary O'Brien. She is survived by: her sons, James E. Safranski of Peru and Michael G. Safranski (Susan) of St. Charles.
