He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Ernat and Frances Ernat (Guynn); his stepfather Chester Ernat; and his sister Mary Jean Smollinger. He is survived by: his wife Linda Claudnic; his sons, Martin Peter Ernat of Peru and Brian Joseph Ernat of Peru; his stepson Michael Taylor of St. Joseph, MO; and his grandsons, Joshua Doyle and Michael Taylor.
