He was predeceased by: his father Wilbur "Willie" Steen; his siblings, Sharel Steen and Wilbur Steen; his uncle Melvin Steen; and his cousins, Patti Battaglia and Andrew Battaglia Jr. (Jackie).
He is survived by: his mother Shirley Steen (Battaglia) of LaSalle; his uncle Joe "Butch" Battaglia of Aurora, CO; his aunts, Anne Rodda of Peru, Lois Buckley of Oglesby and Beverly Morris of Princeton; his cousins, Arron Battaglia (Robin), Tammy Battaglia-Dinius (Jeff), Tony Battaglia (Norma), Rick Battaglia (Jutta), Ron Battaglia (Sandy), Donna Lauck, Mike Battaglia (Linda) and Amy Mareta (Scott); and his niece Jacee Dinius.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mueller-Pagani Funeral Home (609 8th St, La Salle, IL 61301). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Vincent's Cemetery.
