We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2024, at the age of 70, Joseph Michael Liss Jr. of Peru, Illinois, born in Escanaba, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Liss and Mary Liss (Maslowski); and his wife Linda Mertel of Joseph's Church. He is survived by: his siblings, Leon Liss (Judy) of Plainfield, Robert Liss (Birdie) of Escanaba, MI and Marlene Liss (Jim Danziger) of Morton Grove. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, Peru or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
