He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonardo Vitale and Rose Vitale (Dinoto); his wife Mickey M. Orsinger; his son John Vitale; his grandchildren, Johnny Vitale and Renee Baum; his great grandchildren, Katelyn and Ruby; and his brother Joseph Vitale.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Vitale (Debbie) of Dalzell and Leonard Vitale of Peru; his grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Robin, Misty and Jack; and his sisters, Lou Yanke of Peru and Leah Koehler (Bob) of Peru. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
