We are sad to announce that on January 19, 2024, at the age of 72, Joan Nicholson of Peru, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd "Rocky" Rochnowski and Elizabeth "Betty" Rochnowski (Kurtenbach); and her husband Nat Nicholson. She is survived by: her sisters, Mary Ann Yanke of Fort Myers, FL and Donna Rochnowski of Peru; her niece Tammy Swift of Kingston, MA; her nephew Richard Claiborne of Davenport, IA; her stepdaughters, Dagny Eustice of Denver, CO and Tamara Smith; her stepgranddaughter Madison Smith; her friend Bill Jaegle of Tonica; her close friend Carol Strack of Peru; and her caregivers, Lucia and Donna.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
