It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Douglas J. Schweickert of Peru, Illinois, born in Spring Valley, Illinois, who passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schweickert and Marion Schweickert (Weatherall); and his brothers, Paul Schweickert, Richard "Dick" Schweickert and William "Bill" Schweickert.

He is survived by: his wife Rorie (Luther); his sons, Steven Schweickert (Amanda) of Peru, IL and Scott Schweickert (Colleen) of Peru, IL; his grandsons, Arlo, Bennett and Charlie; and his brothers, Thomas Schweickert and Gerald "Ozzie" Schweickert.

Memorials may be given in memory of Doug to the Peru Volunteer Ambulance Service.
