With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Richard Scharlau (Peru, Illinois), born in Hinsdale, Illinois, who passed away on January 2, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Scharlau and Marie Scharlau (Pomplun). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Bender Scharlau. He is also survived by two daughters; four grandchildren; and one brother.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Waltham Presbyterian Church or to the LaSalle Veterans Home.
