She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Weisheit and Minnie Weisheit (Grabow); her husband Harry C. Nelson; and her siblings, Ralph, Melvin Weisheit, Elaine Schroeder, May Carhart, Etta Skotniki and Doris Bittner.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Nelson (Sue) of Morris, Richard Nelson (Audrey) of LaSalle and Barbara Nadolski (Edward) of LaSalle. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
