He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Diercks and Minnie Herschbach Diercks. He is survived by: his wife Edith Steinheimer Diercks of Percy, Illinois.; his children, Susan Diercks of Percy, Robert Diercks (Dawn) of Percy, Rhonda Smith (Matthew Ingram) of Percy and Kevin Diercks (Christine) of Fort Wayne, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Jerod (Matt), Nathan, Tricia, Kindra, Austin, Ryan, Kyle, Sarah, Kimberly and Curtis; his sister LaVerne Morrison of Chester, Illinois.; his siblings-in-law, Irene Diercks of Red Bud, Janette Bayer of New Athens, Illinois. and Arthur Steinheimer (Lola) of Sparta, Illinois.; and his siblings, Gilbert, Elmer Diercks, Marie Koch and Esther Miller.
By executive order, face masks are required, and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
Memorials may be given to Marion VA Activity Fund, donor's choice.
