We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2024 we had to say goodbye to William J. Riekena of Peoria, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Riekena and Dorothy M. Riekena (Fischer). He is survived by: his children, Crystal Elliott (Patrick) of Mapleton, Travis Riekena of Bethlehem, PA and Adam Riekena of Peoria; his granddaughters, Kinley and Macie Elliott of Mapleton; and his siblings, Nancy Marlow of Cottleville, MO, Bonnie Mills of Milan and Raymond Riekena (Joyce) of Canton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 13221 W. Todd School Road, Glasford, IL 61533.

“Dear Linda and Family, I'm shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Bill's Passing. We all held the hope of his recovery, and return to our community. Bill is someone I've known and cared for deeply, all my life. He was a loyal and strong Lutheran and always active, willing to step up and lend a hand, with that warm sincere smile. For myself, I'll miss the opportunity to see him and a local restaurant, in a crowd somewhere, or especially at St Peter's where he grew up and always helped.”
