He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Charles and Margaret Oliver (Daugherty); and his brother James "Jim" Herschel Oliver. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his daughter Lindsey Armes (Jeff); his mother-in-law Nancy Walker; his sister-in-law Linda Oliver; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Kirby (Loyd), Joelle Dickinson (Matt), Jason Oliver (Jennifer Glenn), Jon Oliver and Josh Oliver; his great-niece Aubrey Dickinson; his cousin Courtland Bolin; and his former spouse Kim Demarco (Rob).

Memorials may be made to the Peoria Heights VFW Post 2602, or to the American Lung Association.
