He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer J. Hopkins and Jessie R. Hopkins (Tracy); and his brothers, Joseph and Robert Hopkins. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Puffer; his sons, Chris Hopkins of Peoria, Mark Hopkins (Rebecca) of Peoria, Matt Hopkins (Tammy) of Peoria and Dan Hopkins (Brenda); his grandchildren, Lauryn, Carson Hopkins, Jacob, Ben, Kelly Hopkins, Anthony Hopkins, Noah, Sydney, Sienna Hopkins, Evan Bowen, Ethan Rothert and Christian Rothert; his great grandchild Olivia Jane; and his siblings-in-law, Muriel Puffer, Judy Hopkins, Steve Mowbray and Loren Moe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate, Peoria County Animal Protection Services (PCAPS) or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
