He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin, Sr. Tompkins and Otie Tompkins (Fleming); his children, Venita Tompkins and Marques Tompkins; his grandson Montral Fleming Sr.; and his siblings, Erwin Tompkins, Jr., Samuel Tompkins, Louis Tompkins, Marvin Brown, Jr., Benny Brown and Carrie LaViolette.
He is survived by: his daughters, Evonne Fleming of Peoria, IL, Rochelle Tompkins (Bernell) of Peoria, IL and Angela Tompkins Marshall (Robert) of Stockton, CA; and his brother Curtis Brown of Ohio. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
