He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Meyer and Kathryn Marie Meyer (Madden); his wife Penelope "Penny" Butterfield; his daughter Sheree Davis; his grandson Cody Gilles; and his great grandchild Everly Volk.
He is survived by: his children, Royden Meyer of Sparland and Carol Gilles (Rick) of Kickapoo; and his grandchildren, Jared Volk (Rachel), Casey Volk (Caitlin), Jennifer Volk, Ashley Arbogast (Matt), Taylor Davis, Garret Davis, Kathryn Meyer and Kallie Meyer. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peoria Honor Flight.
