She is survived by: her children, Darrell Compton (Sondra), Sonya Carruthers, Raymond Compton Jr. (Brenda Gibson), Crystal Mann (Eddie), Eric Brown, Jason Brown and Eboney Brown (Demarius Ross); her stepchildren, Maurice Brown, Rosetta Younger and Lanette Compton; and her siblings, Betty Jordon, Linda Fay McBride, Pamela Byrd Moton, Eddie 'Easy' Jackson, Randy Byrd, Jesse Byrd Jr. and Kenneth Byrd Sr.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 4 honorary grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
