It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rosella G. Bubert of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Doyle and Grace Doyle (List); her daughter Laura Carrico; her siblings, Paul, Bill, Dick, Johnny and Marie Barnett; and her husband Donald Merritt.
She is survived by: her sons, David Merritt of Springfield, IL and Gregory Merritt of Fontana, CA; her grandsons, Dylan and Lowell Carrico; and her stepchildren, Marc Bubert (Kayla) and Meryl Block (Tim). She is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hurley Funeral Home - Mason City (603 E Chestnut St, Mason City, IL 62664). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Mason City Cemetery.
