He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Stambaugh and Vina Stambaugh; and his brother Phil. He is survived by: his children, Dan Stambaugh (Billie Jo) and Glenda Belfield of Peoria; and his brothers, Norman and William. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial in his name may be given to the Disabled American Veterans.
