He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ellen and Raymond F. Weitzel. He is survived by: his siblings, Raymond Weitzel, Joseph Moss and Margaret "Margie" Morrissey; his wife Marilyn J. Weitzel; his children, Angela Voss (Anthony) of Peoria, IL, Lisa Weitzel-Titsworth (Edward) of Springfield, IL, Pilar Winters (David) of The Villages, FL, Richard Weitzel of Peoria, IL and Christina Holland of Sacramento, CA; and his siblings, Murt Weitzel (Mimi) of Tucson, AZ and Mary Brod of Springfield, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wilton Mortuary (2101 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61603). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 6:15 PM to 6:45 PM at the same location.
