Nehemiah Lavon Nickels Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nehemiah Lavon Nickels of Peoria, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 9, 2024 at the age of 51. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Albert J. Nickels; his niece Christian Nickels; and his father-in-law Earl L. Richard. He is survived by: his mother Almelia Nickels (Pendleton); his wife Cherryse L. Richard; his children, KeAna, Maiya, Anajeon, Amorah and Noah; his grandchildren, Khiden, Anthony (Bennie) and Anajeon, Jr.; his siblings, Chris (Sonja), William (Clorissa), Reggie Brown and Melisande Brown Peterson (Mel); and his godmother Verdie Finney. He is also survived by mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
