She was predeceased by: her parents, Lelia Mae (Mitchell) and Fred Peel, Sr.; her foster mother Lerlie Mosley; her brothers, Clebern Peel, Sr., Tyrone Steps and David Steps; her grandson Irving Jackson; her aunts, Elizabeth Steps and Minnie Strickland; and her uncle Leroy Muhammad.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Chaison (Tony LeFlore) of Chicago, IL and Sabrina Napue of Peoria, IL; her siblings, Damon Mitchell (Margaret) of Peoria, IL and Arzett Watson of Peoria, IL; her grandchildren, Vershun Chaison, Donnis Napue (Tiron), Aubrea Crooks (Shaquille, Sr.), Tamirra Tracy and Tamika Tracy; her great grandchildren, Sa'Myah, Sen'Tyrah, Au'Savion, Shaquille, Jr., Syncere and Lelia; and her friend Reginald "Reggie" Gilmore. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
