With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin R. Plattner of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on January 9, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Plattner and Emma Plattner (Gudeman); and his siblings, Anna Marie Koch, Grace Bauer, Russell and Kenneth Plattner.

He is survived by: his wife Mardell Hunziker; his son Kevin Plattner (Karen) of Peoria; his grandsons, Brandon Plattner (Muang) of Dunlap and Dustin Plattner of Sierra Madre, CA; his sister Betty Wiegand of Fairbury; and his sister-in-law Edith Plattner of Peoria. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria.
