We are sad to announce that on March 21, 2025, at the age of 74, Marsha Lynn Sommerville of Peoria, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Montague Jackson and Walter Sommerville; and her siblings, Gloria, Barbara, Annie, Pearl, Walter Jr. and Cardell.
She is survived by: her children, Katrina Thomas (Michael) of New York, Venessa Motley of Illinois, Dave Taylor (Annette) of North Carolina, Marisa Taylor of Georgia and Darrell Taylor (Michelle) of Illinois; her sisters, Pamela, Maxine and Ethel; and her grandchildren, LaMaur, McKell, Terrance, Lanesha, John, Jalesha, Aleshia, Britni, Bianca, Dave Jr., Chaz, Anastasia, Achlei, Britnee, Breeana, Taj, Desmond, Brooklyn, Darrien and Darrell Jr.. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Life Together Center of First Federated Church (3601 N Sheridan Rd, Peoria, IL 61614). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Historic Springdale Cemetery (3014 N Prospect Rd, Peoria, IL 61603).
