He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick M. Petit and Catherine Petit (Winkler); his wife Catherine Barcus; his brothers, John Petit and Greg Petit; and his siblings-in-law, Trish Petit, JoAnne Petit and Bob Kingsley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kara Converse (Ted) of Peoria and Kate Horst (Kevin) of Peoria; his grandchildren, Jack Rieger, Sophie Converse, Kate Converse, Jake Rieger, Jenna Horst, Rachel Horst and Audrey Horst; his siblings, Tom Petit (Joleen), Jim Petit (Joan), Matthew Petit, Luke Petit (Sue) and Marian Carlson (Steve); and his siblings-in-law, Marybeth Kingsley and Dick Barcus.
