She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Nellas and Sophie Nellas; and her sister Katina Nellas. She is survived by: her siblings, George Nellas (Mavis) of Honolulu, HI, Christina Acosta (Tim) of Fairfield, CA, Angie Nellas of American Canyon, CA, Penelope Miller (Craig) of Peoria, IL and Mike Nellas of West Peoria, IL; and her nieces and nephews, Tim (Leslie), Michael (Leah), Nick (Danielle), Taylor (Alex) and Christina (Brett). She is also survived by her tenacity, creativity, love for her family and friends, love for animals.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wilton Mortuary (2101 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61603). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (1812 N Prospect Rd, Peoria, IL 61603). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Springdale Cemetery (3014 N Prospect Rd, Peoria, IL 61603).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church or to an animal rescue of the donor's choosing.
