He is survived by: his children, Lester Gayton Jr., Cheryl Ann Hill and Jeanette Gayton; his grandson Kahlil Gibran Gayton; his sister Shirley M. Douglas; and his stepsons, Troy Donovan Wells and Eric John Wells.
