He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Larry Tinsley and Sharon Tinsley (Haywood); his fiancé Roxyanne Henderson; his former wife Latisha Tinsley; his children, Robert Hunter Jr., Adelita Tinsley, Sanyna Henderson, Leonard Tinsley Jr., Leondray Tinsley, Alan Wesley Jr., Leon Tinsley, Ta'leah Tinsley, Tae'Jon Edwards, Zanaya Henderson, Nathan Tinsley and London Tinsley; and his siblings, Lisa Williams (Cedric) of Minneapolis, Larry Tinsley, Lynette Loh (Seydou), Lonnie Tinsley and La'Rain Tinsley of Wisconsin.
Memorials may be made to the Southside Christian Academy School.
