She was predeceased by: her parents, Joyce Brooks and Charles L. Pembroke; her brother Shawn K. Brooks; and her mother-in-law Betty J. Blocker. She is survived by: her sons, Amani K. Pembroke and Amari E. Pembroke; her husband Quentin L. Blocker; her child Za'Riyah Shelby; her sisters, Anita Mitchell-Anderson, Charise Pembroke, April Scott (Omar) and Chere Gordon (Isaac); and also Charles Cannon. She is also survived by aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, uncles, and never-ending line of friends.
