With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laurice Katherine Alwan of Peoria, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 7, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laurice Katherine Alwan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Alwan and Nabeha Alwan (Rizk); her children, Simon and Denise; and her brothers, James and Joseph Alwan.
She is survived by: her spouse Rizk Alwan; her brother William Alwan of Peoria; her daughter Kathy (Bob Couri) of Arvada; her grandchildren, Brian (Quinlan Couri) of Passau Germany and Kristina (Matt Dell) of La Salle, Colorado.; and her great grandchildren, Levi and Elijah Couri of Passau Germany.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Saint Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church (2914 W Scenic Dr, Peoria, IL 61614). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
