It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Mal Cowling of Peoria, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Malachi Cowling and Christine Cowling (Owens); his grandparents, Dora Cowling and Larry; his wife Eleanor Cowling of Peoria, IL; his sons, Paul Anthony "Tony" Cowling of Chicago, IL and Brian Cowling of Peoria, IL; and his siblings, Michael Cowling of Bolingbrook, IL, Phyllis Fanroy of Grand Rapids, MI and Patricia Jones of Phoenix, AZ. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tri-County Peoria Urban League Youth Programs.
